General RAAM

My brother freaking loves General RAAM. So when I decided to try making plushies as Christmas presents this year I didnt think there was any other option.

I remember the first time we saw the Gears of War commercial, we both were like damn... we dont have a 360. Then we saw the X-play review and wanted it even more. Then one weekend my brother brought home an xbox 360 and Gears of War. After encouraging me to play it and falling in love with it, he ended up moving out, forcing me to get my own xbox so that I could play Gears. If not for my brother I might not even have an xbox, let alone share the love of Gears of War!

As for actually making RAAM, it was quite the process. One of the hardest parts was actually just trying to figure out how to do it. RAAM has some amazing armor, crazy detailed and bulky but amazing. Much of the armor I did has at least 2 - 3 layers, including the boots. The two pieces that wrap around his head, and the back piece are both additionally stuffed. I ended up making the belt flap much shorter really because I didnt want to cover the boots that I spent so much time on.

As for his face, I stitched a few lines to try and give him a more distinct look. I didnt notice that the back piece and his frown were kind of crooked until I had the head well attached... I was already to far in to go back at that point so I just left. It gives him more character right?

He is made of felt and is completely hand sewn. I hope everyone likes him as much as my brother did
