Mr Bubbles by xFriendlyPsycho Mr Bubbles by xFriendlyPsycho
Second plushie ever, just finished him last night/early this morning I guess you could say. First plushie completely on my own. Incase you couldnt tell, hes supposed to be a Big Daddy from Bioshock. I was attempting to make something like this little guy ( [link] )

He is hand sewn (as if you couldnt tell), made from felt and wood buttons. I painted the wood buttons the colors I needed them since I couldnt find any the colors/size that I wanted.

If regular paint dosn't seem to work, maybe white nail polish? Or liquid whiteout?

Sounds like something *I* would have done! (get finished then discover the black threads...great minds think alike! ; )

The one drawback of felt, it damages too easily when you try and redo something. *grrrr!*
Maybe cover the threads with like 'Elmer's Glue' and then paint them?
Again just some thoughts. Otherwise, just tell people he lost a fight and is knocked out.
Hey you could add little stars and planets (or birds) on tiny wires floating around his head. *snicker*

Ech, just leave him as is. He looks great and noone other than hardcore Bioshock fans are going to really say anything.

As for Cons, you should go at least once. Just make sure you have plenty of film, batteries and/or space on your digital camera card!
Oh,...yeah, the plane thing....that could be a problem....sorry, can't help you there.

LOL! Yea, I felt rather stupid for not thinking of it earlier! I cant tell you how long I went back and forth about if I should even attempt anything! And little birds could be hilarous! Maybe all Mr. Bubbles lights are just broken :D After all, the little guy I was inspired off of does look like he's got a screw driver in his eye!

That sounds like so much fun! If there was something even remotely close by, I would so be there!

Ahh yes, felt. Is there ~nothing~ it can't be made into?
This is adorable! Great idea with the buttons for the lights too!

Just a might want to use white thread for the buttons next time....
I can't help but think (in this pic) he looks like the cartoon characters when they get knocked out with the 'X's' on their eyes. *G*
But black thread for the button on his tank looks just fine.

You will be the envy of other Bioshock fans, you SO gotta take him with you to a Con!

Thanks for such an awesome comment! And for adding him to your faves as well!

I know :( Honestly, I completely spaced on the idea of white thread until I had the head complete. And when I asked a friend if it still looked ok he said the same thing you did. He suggested maybe painting them, but I didnt think that would go to well and I debated unpicking everything so I could redo all the buttons but I didnt want to risk ruining the felt pieces either. And I REALLY didnt want to end up having to restart all over again with the amount of time it took me to do it the first time lol! So I tried to make them fit a little better by adding the X into the center of his chest.

Once again awww thanks  I WISH I could take him to a Con, but I can only imagine the cost of a ticket anywhere from my little rural town in the middle of nowhere! Let alone at the thought of how well I would even do on a plane!!
